1:1 Therapeutic Approach to Support Anxiety 

Kids Yoga Therapy combines the calming benefits of traditional yoga with therapeutic techniques, making it a unique and effective tool for supporting children’s overall well-being.

​

It is specifically tailored to address a variety of challenges that children may face, including anxiety, stress, depression , living with autism, ADHD, sensory processing issues,  trauma and grief, chronic pain, asthma, digestive issues, insomnia and hypermobility.

​

Unlike general kids' yoga, which focuses primarily on physical postures and movement, Kids Yoga Therapy uses therapeutic strategies to support children in a deeper, more integrated way. It helps children connect their body, mind, and emotions while providing a safe space to express themselves and learn self-regulation.

  • Complimentary 15min phone call to discuss the  Child or teens needs is welcomed.

  • Customised Sessions: Each session is designed based on the child's specific needs, ensuring it’s engaging and therapeutic.

  • Gentle Approach: The therapy uses gentle, fun, and interactive techniques, making it accessible for children of all ages and abilities.

  • Mind-Body Connection: Through breathing, movement, and mindfulness, kids and teens learn to tune into their bodies, which helps them cope with stress and regulate their emotions.

  • Practical Strategies to take home, including breathing exercises, mindfulness, and gentle movements, to support ongoing emotional and physical well-being beyond the therapeutic sessions..

Over 10 weeks, children learn powerful tools to:

  •  Feel safe, calm, and strong in mind and body
     

How We Do It

Each session blends:
✨  Theraputic yoga poses
✨  Calm Breathwork practices
✨  Relaxation techniques
✨ Creative self-development activities and mindful movement .

Based on yoga therapy principles, sessions are thoughtfully designed to support emotional regulation, self-awareness, and well-being—skills that last far beyond the mat.

Kids Practicing Yoga

Early Years Weekly Yoga Classes and Incursions.

Early Years Yoga sessions are designed specifically for children aged 3–5 years, providing a fun, engaging, and age-appropriate introduction to movement, mindfulness, and self-awareness.

 

Through playful poses, stories, songs, and games, children explore their bodies, emotions, and breath in a safe and supportive environment.

 

Benefits of Early Years Yoga:

 

Self-Regulation: Children learn to notice their feelings and use simple strategies—like breathing and gentle movement—to calm their bodies and minds.

 

 -Gross & Fine Motor Development: Yoga poses help build strength, balance, coordination, and flexibility.

 - Emotional Awareness & Social Skills: Activities encourage empathy, cooperation, and respectful interactions with peers.

 

Focus & Concentration:  â€‹Mindful movement and breathwork support attention and readiness to learn.

 

All sessions are play-based, engaging, and aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF). We support outcomes such as:

  • Outcome 1 – Identity: Yoga helps children develop confidence and body awareness, express themselves through movement, and feel secure in their own abilities.

  • Outcome 2 – Community: Partner poses, circle games, and group activities build social skills, empathy, cooperation, and a sense of belonging.

  • Outcome 3 – Wellbeing: Breathwork, mindful movement, and relaxation activities support self-regulation, emotional awareness, resilience, and overall wellbeing.

  • Outcome 4 – Learning: Playful yoga sequences, poses, and story-based activities encourage curiosity, focus, problem-solving, and engagement in learning.

  • Outcome 5 – Communication: Yoga stories, chants, and partner exercises promote verbal and non-verbal expression, collaboration, and confidence in sharing ideas.
